Staff Bio - Chris Ross

Chris Ross is the General Manager and founder of NANA Training Systems, a multi-discipline training and consulting firm with an emphasis on leadership and supervisory development, performance consulting, safety training and consulting, risk management, emergency response, counter-terrorism and regulatory compliance. He manages a staff of over 30 full-time, part-time and contract trainers and consultants, with over 800 clients in Alaska and the “lower 48.”

NTS clients benefit from the framework of Human Performance Improvement to realize performance results in safety and health, leadership development, risk management, and organizational development using tools such as business analysis, balanced scorecard, performance gap analysis and a wide range of interventions.

Ross earned the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation and holds an Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) certification. He is in the pilot phase of a new professional certification in Certified Professional Learning and Performance (CPLP) through the American Society of Training and Development.

He was formerly the Corporate HSE Manager for NANA Development Corporation. During his tenure as HSE manager, he achieved world-class loss performance with an Experience Modification Rate under 0.7. Ross studied architecture, safety management, civil engineering and organizational development, and has additional experience in human resources, project management, budgeting, and operations. He currently serves on many professional boards and association committees.
