Staff Bio - Ira Doty

Mr. Doty is the Operations Manager for NANA Development Corporation in Anchorage, Alaska. In this capacity, he develops training sessions, provides HSE consultation to customers, assists in developing junior HSE personnel, and manages operations of the training unit.

Mr. Doty has over fifteen years’ experience as a safety engineer in Alaska. He has provided safety training, inspected facilities, investigated accidents, and advised management on safety and health issues.

Mr. Doty was Vice President of Loss Control for Alaska National Insurance and Safety Engineer for Royal Insurance. He was also the Loss Control Representative for a number of other insurance companies in Washington. He managed loss control, monitored reports, trained employees, and performed quality control. He also made underwriting inspections of various companies and assisted companies with their safety programs.

Mr. Doty is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, Alaska Chapter. He is a Past President and current Newsletter Editor for this chapter. His other certifications include NSTC Certified Trainer, CAOHC Hearing Conservationist, and First Aid / CPR Instructor.
